Abolishment of AP admission was not how I would have imagined the true
believers rewarded for their loyalty. Mon-Thr 30% select discount yes,
but bonus admission days would be an appropriate reward for them holding
onto my $1,000 in lieu of interest. I don't want pro-rated refund, I
want to experience Rise of the Rebellion a hundred times. I want to
listen to Main Street live music. I want a private special event
thanking those of us who remained faithful and retained good faith where
their greed be not cash but maximized Disney magic.

Just got a message from a friend who has a DLR AP, forwarding an
email he received from DLR President Ken Potrock. They're ending
the AP program at DLR, as well as the DLR component of the Disney
Premier Pass. Passholders will continue to get discounts on food
and merchandise for a while, but the cost of their passes will
be refunded on a prorated basis. (Downtown Disney and a shopping
area near the outside of DCA are open, with attendance limits.)
Those with Premier Passports will be able to renew into a WDW AP.
I sure didn't see this coming. I'm guessing they might reinstate
the program in a year or two. Hard to know what they mean by,
"developing new membership offerings that will utilize consumer
insights to deliver choice, flexibility and value for our biggest
fans."
