Well, after a half-dozen trips through POTC trying different things with
my Canon 50D, I think I came up with a half-ways reasonable picture:

I was shooting at ISO 3200 with my fast 50mm f1.4 lens wide open at
1/50th of a second. I turned on both the high-ISO and long exposure
noise reduction in the camera. I adjust the color balance slightly in
Photoshop and sharpened it just a little bit.

Now I will have to work on some of the other shots.

Beautiful photo, Gary!

And on behalf of Disneyphiles everywhere, may I thank you for
going to the extra effort to get a good shot *without* using
flash. I wish that all PotC riders were as considerate as you!

Most people don't seem to realize that, apart from disturbing others,
flash completely destroys the lighting effects that the Disney folks
spent a lot of time and money creating.

Yes Yes YES! I rarely ride PotC now because of the
ubiquitous camera flashes that appear throughout the ride.
Idiots.

Disney should crack down on these people. Maybe throw a few out of the park.

Hi Gary! Nice work... I have a 50D also, but my short lens isn't
nearly that fast. Maybe I should try taking it through POTC and see
what I can get.

I agree with other posters about inconsiderate guests that use flash!!
