Discussion:
Carthay Circle fine dining question; most enjoyable seating location? Sweet/Savory menu suggestions?

I have reservations next month at Carthay Circle, but I've never been.
The reservation is to celebrate my older sister's birtday. For an
historian Disney Parks, I find myself lacking some knowledge:

Where in Carthay Circle seating is the most enjoyable experience?

What lunch menu selections did you enjoy most, or what to avoid?
I'm a hardy eater, California Cuisine suits me not. My Sister is more
interested in medium portions of sweet/savory but not spicy. Suggestions?

Your sister might be interested in a selection of appetizers rather than
an entree.

I would suggest that you share an order of the Carthay Signature
Fried Biscuits. I think they are excellent. They are stuffed with
white cheddar, bacon, and jalapeno, served with apricot honey
butter. The jalapeno is not particularly spicy (I don't like spicy
hot foods), but you can taste it.

The Firecracker Duck Wings are also really, really good. I haven't had
them in a while, but I don't remember them being too spicy, though they
are served with Sriracha.

Most of the rest of the menu is seasonal, so it's hard to say. I
believe that the 8 oz Angus burger is a standard on the menu. When we
were there in May various members of our party enjoyed Tempura Shrimp,
the burger, and the Soba Noodle salad. I had the soup and house salad -
both were seasonal, so are likely different from what's on the menu now.
At that time there was an Angus Tri-Tip on the lunch menu, which might
appeal to you as a hearty eater.

I can't tell you of anything to avoid - the things I wouldn't eat are
due to my personal tastes and not because they are of poor quality.

For seating...I've never sat there, but it seems like the outside patio
tables would be nice if it's not too warm. There's an "enclosed patio"
that I like - it's much less noisy than the main restaurant. But if
you're in the main restaurant close to the open kitchen, then you can
watch some of the activity in the kitchen.
