I don't recall having seen this mentioned yet, but the Disney
Museum at the Presidio of San Francisco is finally set to open
on Oct. 1. More information here:

They're publishing a book, there are preview weekends for D23
and Carolwood members, and they'll be having special lectures
and screenings at some point. Admission prices will range from
$12.50 (for kids 6-18) to $20 (for adults). Oh, and Wolfgang
Puck is doing the cafe. :-)

Ooooooh, and I thought the only thing that could force me to go to San
Francisco would be Alcatraz! Looks like I have another reason to go!!
It's a dream I know but I'd love to!

Can we count on you to visit ASAP and do a TR?

...Adding this to the list for a possible west coast trip in the spring.

<Note to Patty:
Yes, we are still trying to get out there, esp. before DD graduates
June '10! She just left for Italy for 6 weeks, then onto to Oxford
until Jan. 1, so it is do or die from Jan. to June. >

Dunno whether I'll be the first RADPer to get there, but if I am,
sure, I'll post a report. Not sure when I'll go up there.

The preview weekend is the same for D23 and Carolwood.
Carolwood members were informed by email the day before tickets became
available. D23 members were informed well in advance.
Due to the overwhelming flood of D23 members poised at the switch, to
procure preview tickets, Carolwood members were, in essence, shut out
within hours of the tickets being made available exclusively to members.

I had planned to visit, and give trip report on the first Saturday preview.
I have a hotel reservation nearby for Friday and Saturday night and was
hoping to ride share from Los Angeles to San Francisco in exchange for
accommodations, but I was too late to get my membership tickets.

The offer still stands, but I would need a ticket. (two queen bed room,
nice hotel, free breakfast, vvip lounge) --(o=8> Wiz.
