I'm glad they decided to ditch the idea of replacing Aladdin with a Toy
Story based show. While the Toy Story features are among some of the
best animated features ever created in my opinion, I just can't see them
being turned into a musical that could rival Aladdin.

I think that a good part of Aladdin's success is that it is a romantic
story. People love romantic stories! How could you get the same kind
of romance out of Toy Story?

Maybe the could have replaced it with one of the other romantic stories
from Disney's past: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, etc. When
I heard that they were going to close down Toy Story, I was hoping that
they would come up with a show based on The Princess and the Frog. That
might be good!

Sorry for the typo...

That last paragraph should have read: "When I heard that they were going
to close down Aladdin, ..."

Sure.

Why would you need to? You don't need romance to tell a successful
story. Even a play.
